#WeNeedYouHere

All this week, Dawson is working to remind folks that every community member is loved, valued, and needed.

Check out all of the events created to prevent suicide and promote living during nihè dinch'è jì' wë̀tä̀zul (it is better when you are with us) week.

We’ve gathered some great campaigns that celebrate Indigenous brilliance, culture, creativity, and joy.

We Matter

“Just know you’re beautiful, you’re unique.”

We Matter was created in 2016 when Kelvin and Tunchai Redvers. (Dene/Métis from Treaty 8/North West Territories) invited folks to create one minute videos to let Indigenous youth know that they matter.

#WeNeedYouHere

“You are a gift from the creator."

Created by the American org We R Native, #WeNeedYouHere is aimed at Indigenous youth and part of the campaign speaks directly to Two Spirit and LGBQTAI+ youth.

Culture for Life

“Each and every one of us is born with spirit. One's spirit desires to live life to the fullest.”

Culture for Life celebrates Indigenous Youth from across Turtle Island and recognizes World Suicide Prevention Day by focusing on living life well through their connection to culture.
