Dawson Women’s Shelter is hosting Nichehmën Nint’ey Tr’ëtähtsey, we will make our net strong, a gathering of community members who care about weaving a net so wide that no child can be harmed in Dawson.

Wednesday, October 7th from 2:30 to 4 pm: Dawson City youth are invited to join Dawson Women’s Shelter staff at Käjit’in Zho for a sign-making workshop! We’ll carry these signs with us at the event. 

Thursday, October 8th from 5-7 pm: we’ll gather at the Front Street picnic shelter at 5 pm. We’ll have the ever popular button maker and bystander intervention resources available. The event begins at 5:30 with a welcome, followed by an activity to show our shared commitment to understanding violence prevention, and then we’ll walk together carrying our net to Käjit’in Zho for warm drinks and hotdogs.
